Where to Find Free Scrapbooking Software

One great feature of scrapbooking is that it is a very affordable hobby and usually doesn’t take a big chuck out of your budget. However, as cheap as it may be, many are still on the lookout for some free scrapbooking software in order to create some digital albums and pages. Of course there are quite a few options available, but it’s surprising where and how you can discover free scrapbooking software either in stores or online. The key is first knowing what to look for!

What this means is that scrapbooks don’t need to be created using only free scrapbooking software or any other type of program designed specifically for scrapbooks. You can easily design beautiful page layouts using a varietyof programs and including your own design elements. For instance, instead of free scrapbooking software you can try Microsoft Publisher which is a program designed specifically for creating graphic materials like business cards, brochures, advertisements, and flyers. This program also works well for scrapbook pages because it works so easily with added clipart, photographs, and text boxes. You probably already have Publisher on your computer! So while you may want to use a good quality free scrapbooking software, learning how to use Publisher might be an even better way to go. Using this program, it’s easy to import your photo, put a border around it, add some text or wording, and move items around until you find a design you like. When you print your scrapbook page, you can even add more embellishments to your layout like eyelets or ribbon to add some texture to your design.

You could even find a scrapbooking software program already installed on your computer.  Photoshop and Photoshop Elements can be used for digital scrapbooking.  You can take online digital scrapbooking classes that specialize in using Photoshop for scrapbooking, like jessica sprague coupon. Jessica Sprague writes for Creating Keepsakes as a contributing editor, and she also teaches photo editing tips and tricks.

You can also find free scrapbooking software if you look for software that doesn’t actually advertise itself as being designed for scrapbooks. Software that is designed for marketing materials can also work well for scrapbook pages. There are also many places that have free clipart, free fonts, and other free design elements that are perfect for scrapbooks. By collecting enough of these elements, you can design your own digital scrapbook albums. Some even design scrapbook layouts using Microsoft Word, once they have learned the skills to move different elements around the page. You can even shop for affordable and sometimes free scrapbooking software if you go to discount places like eBay or even the bargain areas of your local computer store.  Are you looking for free digital scrapbooking? There is an almost unlimited number of software programs that you can use to create scrapbook layouts if you take the time to learn more about these programs.

Some Tips on What to Use for a School Scrapbooking Border

If you’re creating a scrapbook to commemorate a school year you may be wondering what you can use for a school scrapbooking border. Sure, most people use those block letters or school buses and these work just fine but if you want to be creative you can come up with so many other cheap scrapbooking supplies and things to use to help you celebrate the school year.

For example, think specifically of that child. What types of activities do they enjoy during school or what is their favorite subject? You aren’t limited with disney scrapbook. If they like science then use science-related objects as a school scrapbooking border. This might include beakers, burners, and atoms. You can even try equations. If they enjoy reading or creative writing then books with classic literature titles may work. If they are really good at music, then of use musical notes or die cuts of their favorite instrument as part of a school page border. Kids into sports might inspire you to use sports items as a school scrapbooking border. Bats, balls, racquets, and even sports shoes can make great items!

Another creative idea for a school scrapbooking border is to use different scrapbook sayings and poems and phrases in different fonts and typestyles and use those as a border. There are many phrases and sayings you can use, but you many want to ask your children for ideas. Obviously the phrases that kids use every day can change constantly so don’t assume you know “what the kids are saying” today- ask your child! Getting the child involved in choosing a school scrapbooking border can also be fun and an interesting project for the two of you to do together.

Keep in mind that you do not have to use school-themed items for a school scrapbooking border. Sometimes just using a good color scheme such as primary colors for elementary aged kids or the school’s colors for older children can work just as well. If you carry the same color scheme throughout your album pages, you can tie everything together and have a terrific looking finished product. You might also try using small die cuts to attach together on your page layout as a school scrapbooking border rather than just something you write or draw on the page. This could be mini books, apple shapes or small brick school houses that you decorate and then attach to the page as a border.

How I Portaloo Hire Saved my Holiday

How I Managed to Save My Holiday with Portaloo Hire mark attwoodAfter completing my exams, my friends and I decided to go camping in DevonBecause we were all heading off to our separate colleges and universities, we wanted this to be a holiday to remember. The campsite was pretty basic, but it didn’t matter, it was next to the beach and had an awesome panorama. We spent the days sunbathing and swimming and at night we would build a campfire and chat to the early hours of the morning.

One night, the weather went from good to bad with torrential rain beating down on our tent.We all huddled together and played blackgammon for hours and drank hot chocolate – we were not venturing out that evening! The weather was awful, but our tent was as tough as old boots and weathered the storm well. The next day we walked down to the showers to find that the toilets were completely flooded.

The farmer who owned the campsite was in a bad situation – he had 150 campers but no toilet facilities for them to visit.He was in deep trouble, and could have a HSE issue on his hands so he was letting every man and his dog use his own toilet in his house.After failed attempts to get emergency call outs from plumbers, he looked very frazzled.I then had a thought, I rang my Dad on my mobile phone.hire services!~I was about to save the situation – my dad was managing director of a  mark attwood company!~It was obvious – my Dad was the director of a company – I was about to save the day!}

I arranged for the hire of ten portaloos to arrive as quick as possible.I told the farmer what I had organised and he was so grateful.the driver arrived with the lovely portable toilets on the back.~Pretty soon after, one of my Dad’s vans came onsite and set up the units by the washrooms.~Within no time at all, the wagon carrying the units arrived on site and were placed down by the shower units.}The driver found the whole story very amusing but calmed the farmer down by letting him have the portaloo hire units onsite unitl the normal toilets were fixed.

Soon everything was back to normal and me and my friends all went down to the beach to enjoy the sun when on our return, we found the homemade pies and local cider waiting outside our tent – a thank you from the farmer and his wife.We enjoyed the food and cider and for the rest of the holiday the farmer treated us like family.Even though it doesn’t sound particularly attractive, knowing someone in the portaloo hire trade can come in very handy!

Bathroom Tiles and How To Design Them

Correctly using tiles to finalise the style and look of your bathroom is perhaps the best way of giving it a co-ordinated look that will create a tasteful and elegant bathroom. But there are some interior design principles that should be considered, to ensure that the end result is stylish and not a design disaster!

Bathroom tiles are now very much seen as a critical way of ensuring that your bathroom looks elegant chic but also timeless. If you choose ceramic bathroom tiles that are very fashionable, they can look somewhat dated in a few years. It is far better to concentrate on using contemporary tiles that are stylish enough to still look effortlessly chic in 5 years or so.

I thin band of colour half way up the wall is a popular look with cream or white tiles. While this looks good, it is extremely popular and can be seen everywhere.

To create lots of colours, the random use of coloured bathroom tiles from the same selection, can impart colour, but look stylish and contemporary, without creating a style that will easily date.

For a stylish and chic appearance try using larger tiles, they also take much less time to install. Mosaic tiles tend to date quite quickly, but look ok around wash and baseness and showers.

Many people try to emulate far bigger Bathroom design within a tiny, standard bathroom. Don’t go for the look of the five star hotels you have seen in Dubai! If the space is smaller than the original then it just won’t work. Instead take some key features like a wash hand basin, shower etc and emulate these, but use your own taste and style to choose your own type of tiles etc for the rest of the bathroom. This insures the tiles or the correct size for the room.

Sometimes, very large bathrooms tend to have very large tiles: but do not be tempted to go for this look in a small bathroom, since the tiles can make the room look smaller, go for standard rectangular tiles instead.

Start thinking about the size and shape of your bathroom, and how the tiles will wear in the years to come. Don’t get carried away when thinking about how you want your bathroom to look, keep your head level and be realistic about what you have to work with.

Golf Tips For Beginners

The golfing beginner can start by reading some free golf tips on the Internet. Golf Tips for Beginners is a website with many resources that you can visit to learn about every facet of the game of golf. There are articles and links to different golf sections for more precise information. Two useful links that you will find are a free golf tips videos site and a golf review blog.

Some Basic Golf Tips

Basic Golf Tips articles go over the things that you need to know to get underway. The eight articles that cover the basics, start with the scoring system, choosing the correct golf equipment, the different types of golf shots, and golf etiquette.

Golfing Resources

At the golf tips for beginners’ page, you will also find some carefully chosen golf resources. There are eBooks specially written for the beginner golfer, the senior golfer and the lady golfer. You will find links to the best golf balls and golf clubs for beginners.

Golfing Equipment

To start with, you will obviously need some golf equipment. The fundamental items are a golf club set, a golf bag, tees, and balls. However, you don’t essentially need to purchase these at first; you can rent them out from most golf courses. Although, if you are serious about learning golf, then buying a good golf clubs set, balls and a golf bag will improve your game.

When you take the decision to buy golf equipment you will see that there are hundreds of choices. The big name manufacturers of golf equipment spend millions of dollars each year trying to get you to buy their golf gear. Don’t rush out and spend thousands of dollars on golf clubs that might not suit your game.

Preferably, start off with a good golf clubs set that are designed with the golf beginner in mind. You can have them tailor made for your physical size and swing speed by customizing the clubs with the correct shaft type and flex.

The Top 3 Golf Bag Accessories

Playing golf is expensive; you have to buy all the essential golf equipment, golf accessories, and pay membership fees or green fees. Others will also spend money on professional golf lessons and other golf learning resources. But, there is always something else that you “must” buy – like golf bag accessories.

The following top 3 golf bag accessories are not necessary for everyone. Untidy golfers won’t want the first one, golfers that don’t travel to play golf in other parts won’t need the second one, and for those that play golf in cold climates might not need the third one.

A Golf Bag Organizer

If you do find that you have no where suitable to store your golf bag and equipment, then you should get a golf bag organizer. A good golf bag rack will protect your valuable golf equipment by keeping everything in one place. When you go to play your next round of golf, you can just grab your golf bag of the rack and you are ready to go.

You will find golf bag organizers that are sturdy, functional, and even stylish. They are either designed to be hung on the wall, or sit on the floor, and hold one or two golf bags, along with various shelves for shoes, towels, gloves and whatever other gear you might want to keep in one place. There are several styles and materials to select, like brushed nickel steel, walnut wood finishes, or even plastic.

Golf Travel Bags

If you do indeed travel with your clubs, whether it’s for an extended golf vacation, or a business excursion, it’s important to know that you’ve got everything you need to make your round enjoyable. To make sure all your gear arrives safely and intact, you will need a golf travel bag.

There are basically two types to choose from. The first is an all-in-one combo golf bag and travel bag. Many golfers like the ease and practicality of a special golf club travel bag that doubles as a travel case. The second type, on the other hand, is for golfers that don’t want to unpack their existing golf bag and transfer everything to a travel bag. You can invest in a quality travel case instead, and easily pack your bag and golf gear inside the case.

Golf Bag Coolers

A golf bag cooler is the last of my top 3 golf bag accessories. If you find yourself playing golf when it is over 100 in the shade, and you’re far from a beverage cart or water fountain, you can get an insulated golf bag cooler. These handy items are insulated, waterproof, and soft-sided, so they can be stored in any large opening in your bag.

Golf bag coolers come in different shapes and sizes that can keep cool 6 to 12 cans of your favorite cold drink. You can pack these watertight bags with ice, or you can use cooler packs that can be re-frozen for repeat use. Because coolers come with a handy shoulder strap, they can also be carried as an all-purpose travel cooler.

Whether you want to be a more organized golfer, take your clubs on your next golf vacations, or quench your thirst on the golf course, you will find that these golf bag accessories will be of use to you. By the way, if you play golf in Scotland or Ireland, you will need another golf bag accessory – a golf umbrella!
